It’s almost a month before the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina hitting the gulf coast. It’s all I can think about. I don’t know how I will handle the year after. I’m not even in New Orleans anymore. Struggling in New York City.
I call my good friend in New Orleans. Voice mail picks up. Try not to leave an emotional message. But my voice drops anyway.
“This is Keith. Just wanted to talk to someone. I’m depressed. Its all-most a month before the anniversary. I don’t know want to do. Sorry about this bad message. Love you.”
